Earth Day began in 1970 and has now been celebrated worldwide for over 30 years! Each year, we are reminded to improve our daily actions like turning off lights when not in the room, not running the faucet and more. But what about your pets? How can you reduce your “paw print” as a pet owner?
Here are 3 ways you can be an environmentally-responsible dog parent!
1. Go for a walk. In our hectic day-to-day lives, it’s easy to forget what a calming effect the outdoors can have on us. By going for a walk with your dog, you are both getting the exercise you need and supporting cardiovascular and muscular health. Studies have shown that people who exercise regularly throughout their lives are healthier and more mobile in older age. So get out there!
2. While you’re on your walk, be sure to clean up the doo doo! Dog waste is a major pollutant, running into our water supplies when left behind and not disposed of properly. Do your duty as a dog parent and clean up.
3. Treat your dog to all-natural dog treats. Best Bully Sticks was started from a commitment to healthy, single-ingredient treats for dogs. Our bully sticks and other beef treats from South America are sourced from free-range, grass-fed cattle. We do not use chemicals, additives or any artificial ingredients in ANY of our treats because we believe they’re unnecessary– and better for your dog and the Earth.
